Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to see results?

12

This depends entirely on your level of motivation, goals, and challenges. Only 20-30% of the work happens in the coaching session and 70-80% happens outside of coaching. Accountability and momentum are key to the success of our program. While we understand the nature of executive dysfunction and try to be as flexible as possible, the effect of frequent session cancellations and failure to follow through with this work will offset your progress.

Do I need an official ADHD diagnosis to start my coaching journey?

The short answer is no. However, if you suspect that you may have ADHD, seeking an official diagnosis can help to identify the cause of your executive dysfunction and give you a better idea of which executive function areas need the most attention.

Am I too old for coaching?

It’s never too late for coaching! Executive Function/ADHD coaching has value in advanced age too. There are unique stresses and challenges with executive function in each season of life, and ADHD is often diagnosed later in life as well. Your coach can help foster your cognition to stay productive and confident while continuing the activities you love.

How much does coaching cost and do you take insurance?

While we do not take insurance directly, you may be able to use your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) to help pay for our services. Please reach out to your provider for more information on their specific eligibility requirements and approval process. Weekly sessions are $125 and included text, email, conversations with other professionals on your behalf, and an online client portal that manages your session content and coach-client communication.

The symptoms of ADHD are Executive Dysfunction, thus, improving these skills is essential to living a fulfilled and successful life with ADHD.

What is an executive function coach and what do they do?

An Executive Function/ADHD coach is a professional with life coaching and/or counseling experience with advanced expertise in ADHD. Coaches assist clients with managing the practical aspects of their lives. Each coach with Lotus Coaching Services has a background in education and/or psychology, and a record of success with clients. We work closely while utilizing each other’s unique qualities, education, and expertise to provide the best personalized experience for our clients.

How can I benefit from executive function coaching?

We all have moments when our executive functions fail us. While coaching can benefit anyone who wants to improve their overall functioning, it can be life-changing when executive dysfunction interferes with daily life, school, or work. No matter the age or phase of life, we have a coach that can help you succeed! Skills learned can help improve grades in school, improve timely completion of tasks, help achieve identified career, academic and personal goals, improve mindset and mental well-being.
